Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Plasma, citrated
Container/Tube: Light-blue top
Specimen Volume: Fill to notched line on tube
Specimen Minimum Volume: No less than notched line on
tube
Specimen Transport Temperature
Specimens that are uncentrifuged should be kept at room
temperature and tested no longer than 4 hours after the time of
specimen collection.
Specimens that are centrifuged and plasma separated from the cells
can be kept for four hours refrigerated or at room temperature.
