Specimen Transport Temperature

• Cap the urine sample immediately after collection, store refrigerated at 2-8°C (36–46°F) and assay within 7 days after collection. If the assay cannot be performed within 7 days, store the urine sample frozen at -20°C for up to 6 months prior to analysis.
• To protect the integrity of the sample, do not induce foaming and avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
