Container/Tube: 24-hour collection container or random urine container

Specimen Volume: Entire collection

Collection Instructions (for the patient):

1. Discard the first urine sample taken at the start of the 24 hour period and collect all others including one at end of the time period.

Additional Information (for lab personnel): Add 6M HCL to urine within 4 hours of completing collection.
