Specimen Type: Serum/plasma

Container/Tube:

Serum: Yellow top

Plasma: Light-green top

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Collection Instructions:

2 Hour Post Prandial: Draw 2 hours after meal unless otherwise specified by physician. Floor should notify lab when patient has  finished meal.

Maternal 1 Hour: Draw 1 hour after ingestion of a 50 gram glucose drink. Patient  may or may not be fasting, depending on the physician's request.
