Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Clean-catch, catheterized, or supra-pubic puncture urine (specify type)

Container/Tube: Sterile, leak-proof urine container, see Culture Chart

Additional Information: Obtain early-morning specimens when possible because of increased bacterial counts after overnight incubation.
